seeMYtree Privacy, Safety and Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

SeeMyTree is a creative photography and video application that allows users to capture, view, transform, save, and share tree imagery using visual effects including mirrored imagery, depth enhancement, stereoscopic-style viewing, and artistic rendering techniques.

This policy explains how SeeMyTree operates, what information is accessed by the application, and the standards expected of users.

2. Privacy First Design

SeeMyTree is designed to operate primarily on the user's device.

The application does not require account creation and does not require users to submit personal information to use its core functionality.

User photographs and videos remain under the user's control and are stored within Apple Photos and user-managed storage locations.

3. Permissions

Camera Access

Camera access is requested only to:

Capture photographs.
Record videos.
Create real-time visual effects.

Users may deny camera access at any time through iOS settings.

Microphone Access

Microphone access is requested only when video recording functionality is used.

Audio is recorded solely as part of video capture and is not monitored, analysed, or transmitted separately.

Microphone access is not required for still photography features.

Photo Library Access

Photo Library access is requested to:

Save images and videos created by SeeMyTree.
Display media stored in the user's SeeMyTree album.
Allow users to select existing photographs and videos.

Users may choose:

Full access.
Limited access.
No access.

The application respects the access level selected by the user.

4. Data Collection

SeeMyTree does not intentionally collect:

Contact information.
Financial information.
Location history.
Health information.
Biometric information.
Identity documents.

Any analytics or crash reporting services used by future versions of the application will collect only information necessary for application stability, performance monitoring, and security.

5. User Generated Content

Users remain responsible for all photographs, videos, text, poems, and other content created or imported into the application.

Users must not use SeeMyTree to:

Harass individuals.
Infringe intellectual property rights.
Create unlawful content.
Create deceptive or fraudulent material.
Violate applicable laws or regulations.

6. Children's Privacy

SeeMyTree is not directed toward children under the age defined by applicable local law without parental supervision.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising use by minors.

7. Intellectual Property

All photographs, videos, poems, and creative works remain the property of their respective creators unless otherwise stated.

The application includes literary works presented for educational and inspirational purposes.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to any content they upload, share, print, reproduce, or distribute.

8. Printing and Storefront Services

SeeMyTree may provide links to third-party print and merchandise providers.

When users choose to purchase products:

Transactions occur on third-party websites.
Payment information is processed by those third parties.
seeMytree does not store payment card information.
Printed physical items are produced locally and sustainably in 32 countries via our global print partner network (Gelato) to cut down on carbon emissions.

Users should review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service before completing purchases.

Physical Goods Only: The print-on-demand functionality inside this app is strictly for ordering physical merchandise (custom prints) fulfilled by a local distributor via Gelato.
External Web Checkout: All financial transactions, order processing, and payment collections are securely routed through our established seeMYtree Shopify storefront. No digital content or in-app features are unlocked via this checkout, in strict compliance with Apple's Guideline 3.1.5 (Physical Goods and Services).

9. Security

seeMytree implements reasonable measures to protect user content and application integrity, including:

Secure HTTPS communications.
Restricted permission usage.
Apple platform security controls.
Sandboxed application storage.
User-controlled media access.

No software system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Content Moderation

This app does not contain any public feeds, community walls, or multi-user interactions. All photo and video capture occurs locally on the user's individual device. Social sharing is handled strictly via the native iOS system share sheet to the user's personal accounts. Because users cannot see or interact with content created by other users within this app. Sharing to social media platforms is handled exclusively through the native iOS System Share Sheet. The app does not currently host or distribute the shared media on any proprietary servers.

Should future versions support user submissions, sharing, community features, or content publication, seeMYtree will reserve the right to remove content that:

Is illegal.
Promotes violence.
Contains hate speech.
Contains sexually explicit material.
Infringes intellectual property rights.
Violates this policy.

11. Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing

seeMytree uses computational image processing techniques to create visual effects.

Generated effects are artistic transformations of user-supplied imagery and should not be considered factual representations of real-world objects or events other than the original image unadjusted.

12. Accessibility

SeeMyTree aims to support Apple's accessibility technologies including:

VoiceOver.
Dynamic Type where appropriate.
High contrast system settings.
Reduced motion preferences where technically feasible.

13. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the application evolves.

Material changes will be reflected through application updates and revised policy versions.

14. Third-Party Commerce Disclosure

Because seeMYtree opens, with the user's consent, Shopify storefront pages, purchases occur on a third-party website and are governed by those providers' terms. User-uploaded photos are transmitted securely to Shopify and Gelato solely for the purpose of printing and shipping.
